Summer Course Proposal Form

We welcome all students to take summer classes. The college maintains housing, dining, library, recreational, and other services throughout the Summer Session.

In addition to courses on the Cortland campus, during the summer we offer courses at the Brauer Field Station near Albany, at the Mohawk Valley Graduate Center in Utica, and at outreach sites in Oneonta and Binghamton, N.Y.; or perhaps you would like to study abroad this summer. Cortland also participates in the SUNY Learning Network which offers courses on line.

Course List Heading
A complete listing of summer courses will be available at this web site in October. All summer information will be available through this web site or the Registrar's web site instead of a printed schedule.

Policies
All policies, standards and regulations governing study at SUNY Cortland as stated the the 2007-2008 College Catalog remain in force during the Summer Session.

A student taking a three-credit hours short (intensive) course during one five-week term may not take a class that meets the full five-week term, but may register for another short (intensive course or, if the schedule permits, two short (intensive courses) with exclusions made for a physical education activities and clinics. None of the courses may overlap.

Students taking one week, intensive courses, are not eligible for financial aid.

Graduate students may register for a total of 8 credit hours in each 5 week session.

Undergraduate students may register for a total of 7 credit hours in each 5 week session.

Timely registration for Summer Session is very important as course availability is directly linked to course enrollment numbers. To insure that your course will "go" we advise all mail-in registrations be received no later than May 9 for Summer Session I and June 18 for Summer Session II.

It is possible that courses listed may be canceled if enrollment is insufficient or for other reasons beyond our control.
