Mission

The Counseling Center provides short-term therapeutic services to facilitate students' personal, social and educational adjustment. The Center staff periodically conduct developmentally-focused programming in areas such as alcohol and drugs, stress management, communication skills and eating disorders. The Counseling Center is accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services and accordingly meets national certification standards.

Services

We offer the following services:

  • Personal Counseling
Just what the name implies. A working out of problems of a personal nature. No subject is taboo.
  • Vocational Counseling
Could give you a head start on your future. We can help you explore your interests and abilities as they relate to your career choice.
  • Educational Counseling
Few people enter college entirely sure of what major field they're interested in. If you're confused about a major or "academia" in general, pay us a visit, and we'll discuss what options may be available to you.

  • Referrals
We don't claim to know everything. If we don't know enough about a concern of yours, we'll help you find someone who does. Referrals are personal. That means we'll direct you to people we know who will do their best to help you.
