“One Staff…Two Staff…Meet A New Staff!”
Friday, Feb. 22 through Saturday,
Feb. 23, 2008.
This year's conference theme is "One Staff...Two Staff... Meet a New Staff," a play off of the ever popular words of Dr. Seuss! This theme will serve as the focal point for many of the programming sessions presented, and we hope to facilitate a day filled with learning, sharing and wacky-filled fun, the only way Dr. Seuss would have wanted it!
This year's Residence Life Conference is showing an environmental initiative and is going paperless! Please note this exciting change and fill out the appropriate online forms today!
Please contact Jesse Kimmerle, (607) 753-4151, with any special dietary needs or other special accommodations request.
Registration
The registration fee is $45 per person, which covers registration, materials, a continental breakfast and a catered luncheon. Those that present at the conference will be given a discounted registration fee! Instead of paying $45, presenters will only pay $30! Each participant will also receive a complimentary short-sleeve T-shirt with the conference insignia if they register early.
Registration Deadline is February 1st, 2008. Anyone who registers after this date must pay the $20 late fee on top of their registration fee and may not receive a t-shirt.
To Register, please fill out the online registration form by clicking on the link below. You will have to register with a valid e-mail address and password, which will allow you to log on in the future to make any changes necessary to your participant information.
You will not be locked in to the participants that you register until about a week before the conference, as you are able to make the changes in your account up until that time.

Social Activities
Friday night's social activities are geared towards the introduction of all our participants and the further development of individual staffs.
This year's events will include our Fifth Annual Role Call Competition.
We hope that you will take advantage of these networking opportunities and use them as a springboard into the intellectual sessions to follow on Saturday.
Your school can enter the Role Call Competition as Late as Friday Night when they arrive! So get your creative hats on now, or put together a winning skit in the car on the way here!
Stay tuned for specific Friday night activity updates.
Silent Auction
A silent auction will be held as part of the Residence Life Conference. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to a literacy charity, following right along with our Dr. Seuss theme! Schools are asked to contribute items to be included in the auction. Merchandise with school logos is highly desirable. Monetary donations will also be accepted.
Program Proposals
Don’t forget the objective of our conference…sharing successful programming! Those who wish to submit program proposals should complete the Online Program Proposal Form, which can be found on the online registration form page. Presentations can have as many presenters as necessary, but there is a maximum number of three presenters that will receive the discounted presenter price for each proposal.
All Program Proposals are due by Friday, February 1, 2008.

Participants may make overnight accommodations at the Country Inn and Suites, located along the perimeter of the SUNY Cortland campus. We have blocked off 58 rooms in this hotel, so please call promptly to make reservations. The phone number is (607) 753-8300.
