CLUB REC at SUNY Cortland is a recreation program that provides community residents the opportunity to use the University recreation facilities on a limited basis.  This program is sponsored by the Department of Recreational Sports which is in the Division of Student Affairs.

We hope the CLUB REC program will continue to provide worthwhile service to our community members and that your visits to Park Center will be most beneficial and enjoyable.

POLICIES

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

In order to establish and maintain better security and control and to be consistent with University policy, each CLUB REC member will be issued a photo I.D. card which must be presented each time one participates. This policy is consistent with requirements for our students, faculty and staff in using the recreation facilities. By stricter enforcement, we can be more likely to provide a safe, wholesome environment for everyone to recreate in.

PHOTO I.D. PROCEDURE

  1. Fill out the membership application in the Club Rec brochure and bring it to the Recreational Sports Office located at E-245 Park Center between the following hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

  2. Pay fees and a photo I.D. card will be made for you in the Recreational Sports Office.

  3. All participants must return to the Recreational Sports Office at the beginning of each semester to have their I.D. revalidated, unless they pay for the calendar year. Memberships for the calendar year must be purchased in the fall. Otherwise, memberships must be purchased by the semester or for the summer.

  4. Members who already have photo I.D. cards from last year may use the same I.D. this year. Just bring the I.D. card along with this membership application to the Recreational Sports Office, pay your fees, and a new validation sticker will be placed on your card.

  5. Replacement fee for lost I.D. card is $5.00.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK

Inherent risks are associated with every recreational activity.  Participants assume these risks when they agree to participate.  All participants are strongly advised to secure health insurance coverage and to visit their physician for a physical examination prior to registration or participation.

 Classes, Varsity Sports, Intramurals, and other official University activities always have priority use of facilities over Club Recreation.
