Information Technology Resources
As part of their educational experience, SUNY Cortland students are introduced to new technologies so they can successfully develop technological competencies and the ability to identify, access, and critically evaluate information.
For students to develop information and computer literacy skills, they must be exposed to appropriate technologies throughout the curriculum. Faculty and students must have easy access to information and technology throughout campus. Technical support must be readily available. Faculty must incorporate new technologies into courses to enrich the learning experience. The Library must have adequate and up-to-date traditional and electronic resources.
New technologies enable learning to take place in innovative ways and in formats never before possible. Instruction taking place at Cortland has the potential to be delivered to remote sites anywhere. Through interactive video and the Internet, SUNY Cortland has the ability to bring the "virtual" classroom experience to students who cannot physically come to Cortland.
