Gerontology

Social gerontology is an exciting field for students interested in an intellectual challenge, compelling subject matter, creativity, and an opportunity to address social change and inequalities in society.

The academic program introduces students to theoretical, research, policy, and practical issues relevant to careers that involve working with the aged, developing or administering government programs aimed at older people, creating social policy on aging, providing direct service to elderly persons and acting as a gerontological consultant in the business and public sectors.
