Faculty/Staff Information

Faculty and staff are invited and strongly encouraged to participate in all of the ceremonies and activities that take place during Commencement weekend. Faculty and staff presence at the ceremony will not only provide support for all graduates, but also recognize those students in the Class of 2008 with whom you have had a special association.

Faculty and staff may either march in the ceremonies wearing regalia, serve as marshals or simply be present to enjoy the ceremonies.

Graduate Ceremony

A special section of seats will be reserved for faculty and staff who are not in regalia, and ushers and marshals will direct you to that section. Seating in the section is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Faculty who will not be wearing regalia or marching during the ceremonies should arrive at the Park Center one hour before either ceremony. Undergraduate Ceremony

A special section of seats will be reserved for faculty and staff who are not in regalia, and ushers and marshals will direct you to that section. Seating in the section is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Because of space limitations, the section will be opened up to general seating 30 minutes prior (9 a.m. for morning ceremony and 2 p.m. for the afternoon ceremony) to the beginning of each ceremony, so please make every attempt to be seated by that time.

Faculty who will not be wearing regalia or marching during the ceremonies should arrive at the Park Center one hour before the ceremony.
