You can choose teacher certification in nearly every subject area and benefit from education that prepares you to join our graduates in achieving. With strong connections to local schools, our teacher candidates get extensive hands-on experience in a variety of classrooms.  Of course, that’s just what you expect from one of the largest nationally accredited teacher education institutions on the East Coast.

All teacher education applicants are required to complete the: SUNY Cortland Undergraduate Teacher Education Application. Upon completion submit teacher education application with the department teacher education coordinator or department chair.
